Odisha`s M Amusana Devi returned home today after winning a bronze medal in the 15th Asian Senior Rowing Championship at Luan in China on September 29. She was a member of the Indian squad that finished third in the women`s quadruple scull, clocking 7:03.33 seconds.
Other three rowers of the Indian squad included Kh Monalisha Chanu (CRPF), Dittimol Varghese (Karala) and Th Chaoba Devi (Manipur). A trainee of SAI Watersports Centre, Jagatpur (Cuttack), Amusana was accorded a warm reception on her arrival at the railway station in Cuttack.
This was the third international medal for the Odisha rower, who had secured a silver each in the Junior Asian Championship at Hwachaeon (South Korea) and Nanchang (China) in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
