Two promising cricketers from Odisha Cricket Association have been selected to join the under-19 National camp to be held at BCCI Specialist Academy in Chennai from July 8 to August 3. The duo includes middle-order batsman Subhranshu Sekhar Senapati and allrounder Priyatosh Parmanik.
Senapati and Paramanik were picked by the Junior National Selection Committee on the basis of their impressive performance in the Cooch Behar Trophy and Vinoo Mankad Trophy under-19 tournaments for the season 2012-13.
Senapati slammed two centuries (124 vs Assam and 139 vs Gujarat) and one half-century (67 vs Railway) in Cooch Behar Trophy tournament. Paramanik`s achievements included two fifties (83 vs Gujarat, 56 vs Railways) and a five-wicket haul (vs Railways) in Cooch Behar Trophy besides one half-century (81 vs Jharkhand) and a four-wicket haul (vs Assam) in Vinoo Mankad Trophy.
