Jaya Prakash Dash lived upto his reputation as the local favourite by clinching a title double in the All-Orissa Open Carrom Tournament at Old Town in Bhubaneswar today. He retained the singles crown by defeating city opponent J K Routray in the final. The duo then combined well to secure the doubles title, outplaying Sunil Patnaik and Rajesh Sahu.
The women’s title was claimed by local player Kabitanjali Pal, who got the better of Bhanuprava Sahu in the summit clash. Around 165 players, including 16 women, took part in the tournament, which was organised by Town Club, under the auspices of Orissa State Carrom Association.
