Odisha thrashed host Jharkhand by eight wickets to start their campaign on an encouraging note in the East Zone Senior Women`s T20 Cricket Tournament at Jamshedpur today. Electing to bat, Jharkhand were restricted to 88 for seven in the stipulated overs.
Odisha then rode on former India opener Madhuri Meheta`s 34 and an unbeaten by Swagatika Rath to overhaul the target with four overs to spare. The winning side garnered four points, while the losing team drew blank. Odisha will next meet Tripura on Sunday.
