Woman rowers once again made Odisha proud with four of them winning a silver medal in the 18th Junior Asian Championship at Nanchang in China today. The Odisha quartet, comprising M Amusuna Devi, Manjula Xess, Asmita Kujur and Sanjukta Dung Dung claimed the medal by finishing second in the coxless-four event, which was conducted over a distance of 2000 meters.
Trainees of SAI Watersports Centre at Jagatpur, Cuttack and disciples of eminent coach Jose Jacob, the four Odisha rowers are part of a 15-member Indian squad that is competing in the six-day Junior Asian Championship.
