Cambridge School beat DAV Public School in the all-Cuttack final by 64 runs to retain the title in the 8th the PVR Murty Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament at Bhubananda Odisha Engineering School (BOSE) ground here today. Cambridge skipper Rohit Behera starred in the emphatic win, hitting an unbeaten 69 and bagging three wickets for 21 runs. His impressive all-round performance not only fetched him the prize as the man of the match, but also a motor cycle as the man of the tournament.
Former India left-arm spinner Maninder Singh graced the closing ceremony as chief guest and handed over the trophy. Odisha Mass Education Minister Pratap Jena, Choudwar MLA Prabhat Biswal and Odia cine star Anubhab Mohanty were among other guests present on the occasion.
