Odisha beat Karnataka 3-1 to finish third in the Sub-Junior Girls National Hockey Championship at Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh today. Birajini Ekka, Priyanka Ekka and Seema Lakra scored a goal each for Odisha. Birajini bagged the best forward and player of the tournament awards and her teammate Seema Lakra was adjudged as the player of the match.
Earlier in the opening match on Dec 15, Odisha thrashed Rajasthan 9-1. Birajini Ekka alone scored five goals including a hattrick, Elisa Ekka score a brace, while captain Bira Ekka and Neel Parijita Majhi contributed one goal each.
