Odisha Seniors, lead by Girija Sankar Bhanja, trounced Punjab 20-12 in the final to emerge champions in the Indian Open Gateball Tournament, which concluded at Kalinga Stadium here today. Earlier in the semifinals, Odisha Seniors defeated PHESA 17-7, while Panjab beat Government Women’s Polytechnic Diploma College (GWPDC) 19-12.
Altogether 23 teams from 14 states participated in the two-day tournament, which was organised by Odisha Gateball Union (OGU).
