Bhubaneswar girl Samartha Prusty and Cuttack teenager Asif Haque claimed double crowns in the KDTTA All-Orissa Open Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Unit-1 Indoor Hall in Bhubaneswar earlier on Sunday.
Samartha emerged champion in junior girls’ and women’s singles, while Asif won the two titles in junior and youth boys’ singles. Khusi Ray, M Eshwar Rao, Tanya Gope, Subhendu Dutt and Kallola Ganguly bagged the remaining five titles of the three-day tournament.
Bajaj Alianz General Insurance vice-president (Eastern Zone) Sashi Kumar Adidamu presented the trophies in the presence of Orissa State Table Tennis Association vice-president Chitta Ranjan Mohanty, host Khurda District Table Tennis Association president Loknath Samal and secretary Smruti Ranjan Das.
