The Scan, a leading cricket club of Bhubaneswar is all set to join the Twenty20 bandwagon by organising the Scan Health & Fitness Twenty20 Cup Cricket Tournament at Capital Girls` High School ground here from May 12 to 18. Twelve leading clubs of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar will vie for the trophy, Scan secretary Prabodh Kumar Das said at a media conference today. The tournament offers Rs 10,000 for the winners and Rs 7,000 for the runners-up. The final will be played under floodlights. Teams include Biswabharati, Rising Students, Union Sporting, Jobra Solar (all Cuttack); Sahid Sporting, Scan, Bapuji Cricket Club, Crown in, Rameswar Sporting, Pragati Sporting, Mukteswar Cricket Club, Paramount Sporting (all Bhubaneswar).
