Sailabala Women`s College won the Cuttack District Women Football League, thrashing SAI Training Centre 4-1 in the final at their home ground in Cuttack today. Star striker Supriya Routray played instrumental role in the emphatic win, scoring a brace, while the other two goals were netted by Neha Parwin and Priyanka Nayak. Reshma Begum reduced the margin for the SAI outfit.
Host Cuttack District Athletic Association secretary Asirbad Behera handed over the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function. Football Association of Orissa treasurer M A Alam and counterpart in Orissa Cricket Association Satya Mohanty were present on the occasion.
Altogether eight teams participated in the inaugural edition of the tournament. Other six teams were Agrahat, Mahanadi Vihar, Bhorosa etc.
