Government Sports Hostel, Cuttack won the the 25th All-Orissa Jadupur Cup Football Tournament, defeating city opponents Orissa Police 1-0 in the final here at Jadupur ground today. Prasanta Behera was adjudged the man of the match for scoring the all-important goal in the 58th minute.
Sports Hostel took home a cash prize of Rs 12,000, while Orissa Police received Rs 8,000. Prakash Dilla and Saroj Pradhan (both Sports Hostel) bagged the individual prizes as the player of the tournament and best goalkeeper respectively.
Pradesh Congress Committee working president Lalatendu Bidyadhara Mohapatra handed over the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function in the presence of host Jadupur Atheletic Association president Dilawar Khan and general secretary Daud Ali.
