Delhi Red men and Bhubaneswar Unit-9 women emerged champions in the Patia Cup All-India (A-Grade) Kabaddi Tournament, which concluded at Patia School ground in Bhubaneswar today. In the men’s final, Delhi Red beat Uttar Pradesh Police 33-27 to take home the top prize of Rs 51,000, while the UP side became richer by Rs 31,000.
In the women’s title clash, Unit-9 defeated Kuakhia to bag the winners’ prize of Rs 7,000. Kuakhia received Rs 5,000. Orissa Governor Muralidhar Chandrakant Bhandare, KIIT founder Dr Achyut Samant and SAI International School chairman B Sahu gave away the prizes at the closing function.
