Mid-fielder A Naresh will named a 20-member Orissa team in the 64th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy, which commenced at Kolkata earlier on July 15. The team, announced by Football Association of Orissa (FAO) today, includes nine players from Cuttack, two each from Khurda, Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur and one each from Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Ganjam, Mayurbhanj and Angul. The team would leave Cuttack on July 19, accompanied by coach Mohammad Shahid Jabar and manager Ganesh Prasad Bhagat.
Placed in Cluster-VIII, Orissa are scheduled to play their first match against Mizoram on July 22. They would meet Railways and Bihar in their remaining two cluster matches on July 24 and 26 respectively.
Orissa team:
Goalkeepers: Saroj Pradhan, Ramesh Chandra Naik
Defenders: Surajit Behera, Jayjit Mohanty, Hrusikesh Behera, Akshya Das, Bhimlal Rana, Manger Oram, Shekh Shahanawaz Alam
Mid-fielders: Sukadev Oram, Shekh Moim, Sidharth Sankar Pruseth, A Naresh, Rupayi Hansda, Hemanta Kumar Das, Padmanav Kanhar
Forwards: Shekh Mustakim, Mohammad Ehesan Khan, Maheswar Das, Prakash Kumar Dilla.
Coach: Mohammad Shahid Jabar, Manager: Ganesh Prasad Bhagat.
