Cuttack favourite Tapan Kumar Nayak beat Chandan Kumar Behera in the final to emerge as the champion of champions in the 2nd Bhaina Memorial All-Orissa Open Arm-wrestling Tournament, which was held at Utkal Karate School (UKS) here today.
Around 100 arm-wrestlers took part in the tournament, which was organised by Bhaina Memorial Trust (BMT). Winners of 14 weight categories vied for the coveted champion of champions title.
BMT head Jugal Kishore Mishra, UKS founder Hari Prasad Pattanayak and Orissa State Arm-wrestling Association officials Prafulla Das, Kedar Sarangi, Bibhuti Bhusan Jethi, Bijay Sharma, Hukum Singh, Raj Kishore Sahoo and Gouri Mohanty gave away the trophy and cash prizes at the closing function.
