Rashmi Ranjan Das registered a sparkling century (104 off 108 balls, 15x4, 2x6) to power host Orissa to a fighting 11-run win over Jharkhand in their second league match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy East Zone One-day Cricket Tournament at Cuttack today. Orissa skipper Haladhar Das also shone with the bat, hitting a 98-ball 88, while pace spearhead Debasis Mohanty bagged four wickets for 56 runs. In another high-scoring match of the day, Bengal rode on S Goswamy’s century to crush Assam by seven wickets. Dheeraj Jadhav of Jharkhand top scored in the match with an unbeaten 148.
