Defending champions Orissa lost to eventual champions Uttaranchal 9-11 in the semifinals of the 2nd National Gateball Championship, which concluded at Una in Himachal Pradesh today. According to Indian Gateball Association secretary Manoranjan Mishra, Uttaranchal clinched the title, defeating host Himachal Pradesh 25-23 in the exciting final. A coaching clinic for referees was conducted during the National meet. Thirteen referees appeared a test there and four among them passed out.
