Orissa got off to an impressive start by bundling out host Himachal Pradesh for 125 on the opening day of their seventh and last round Ranji Trophy Super League (Group-A) match at Dharamsala today.
Bowlers put up superb performance for Orissa with left-arm spinner Dhiraj Singh spearheading the pack with four wickets. Seamers did the early damage with Basant Mohanty scalping three wickets and Alok Sahoo picking up a brace.
In reply, Orissa reached 52 for two at close, losing openers Bikash Swarup Pati and skipper Shiv Sundar Das for 14 and 21 respectively. Earlier, put into bat, the home side struggled against a formidable Orissa bowling attack. P Dogra was their highest scorer with 25 runs. Himachal Pradesh lost their last three wickets without scoring a single run.
