Indian kickboxers returned home after bagging one gold and three bronze medals in the inaugural Asian Martial Art Games held at Bangkok in Thailand from August 1 to 9.
According to a press release from Indian Association of Kickboxing Organisations (IAKO) today, Laxmi Tyagi of Delhi won the gold in women’s 52kg low kick fight.
The three bronze medals were secured by Sanjay Katode (Maharastra) in men’s 75kg full contact, Arun Singh (J&K) in men’s 71kg low kick and Heena Nasreen (Delhi) in women’s 56kg full contact events.
Orissa international referee S S Harichandan represented the country as the technical official and acted as the official jury member for Asian Kickboxing Federation.
