Back-to-back wins in space of eight hours powered Saurya Prasad Patnaik into the semifinals of the 15th Orissa State Senior Snooker Championship at the Cuesport Academy in Bhubaneswar today.
State junior runner-up Patnaik first beat Kunal Agarwal 3-0 and then prevailed over Amit Lath 4-2. Fourth seed Ahsan-ul Haque also entered the semifinals with a hard fought 4-3 victory over senior billiards champion Subrat Das. Meanwhile, Hardeep Singh Saluja completed the quarterfinal line-up, eliminating third seed Sureet Singh 3-1.
