Subrat Das and Jeet Kishore Das lived up to their seedings as they registered easy wins to sail into the quarterfinals of the 15th Orissa State Senior Snooker Championship, which commenced at the Cuesport Academy in Bhubaneswar today.
State senior billiards champion Subrat crushed Mohammad Raza bu 3-0 frames, while Jeet trounced Mihir Vora by identical margin. Govind Sharma, Nishant Biswal, Satya Jyoti Mohanty and Hardeep Singh Saluja won the four first round matches of the day.
Results: First round: Govind Sharma bt Abhishek Mahananda 3-2 (57-25, 23-40, 53-31, 13-41, 52-13): Satyajyoti Mohanty bt Ashwini Patnaik 3-1 (34-35, 64-14, 54-21, 34-33): Nishant Biswal bt Deepak Agarwal 3-0 (80-47, 60-20, 68-42): Hardeep Singh Saluja bt Jenson George 3-0 (53-45, 65-15, 65-16).
