Indian Rugby Football Union has appointed Orissa’s Manas Kumar Jena as the assistant coach of a 24-member National squad for a tour to South Africa appointed from July 31 to August 20.
According to Orissa Rugby Football Association secretary U K Mohanty, the Indian squad will play a few matches and also join a training camp at Cape Town as part of preparation for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Jena would continue as the assistant coach till the New Delhi Games.
Orissa born Army Red player Bikash Kumar Jena has been included in the Indian team for the South Africa tour.
