Public School (Nabarangpur) caused a major upset, beating last year’s runners-up Ispat English Medium School (Rourkela) by four wickets in a pre-quarterfinal match of the State
Inter-School Cricket Tournament at Cuttack on Tuesday.
But defending champions Sundargarh Public School thrashed Saraswati Sishu Mandir (Kendrapara) by 109 runs to march into the quarterfinals. Two other schools also posted wins to to reach the last eight round.

At SCB Medical ground: Public School (Sundargarh) 191/7 in 30 overs (Udit Lakra 53, Uttam Mahato 50: A Giri 3/27) beat Saraswati Sishu Mandir 82/10 in 21.1 overs (M Sahanawaz 33: U Mahato 3/7) by 109 runs.
