OSJA names state squad for sub-junior Nationals

Orissa State Judo Association (OSJA) today named a 17-member squad for the Sub-junior National Judo Championship to be held at Indore (MP) from July 12 to 16. The 17 judokas were selected after finishing first in different age and weight categories of the State Judo Championship, which was held at Bhanjakala Mandap, Bhubaneswar earlier today. Around 250 judokas from 10 districts took part in sub-junior, junior and senior categories of the day-long state meet. Local MLA Bijay Mohanty, State Sports Director P K Pradhan and OSJA president Priyabrat Patnaik gave away the prizes at the closing function. Sub-junior squad: Boys: Om Prakash Mahanta (Mayurbhanj): Rajesh Kumar Sahu, Muna Das, Amar Kumar Nayak, Sagar Jena, Biswajit Mahari (all Bhubaneswar): Surya Narayan Pujapanda, Bishnu Bhoi (boto Puri): Srikumar Pradhan, Panchanan Mohanty (both Ganjam). Girls: Rinki Pradhan, Anjali Nayak, Pinki Pradhan, Sulata Jena, Sanghamitra Mohapatra, Anita Nayak (all Bhubaneswar): Nibedita Das (Orissa Judo School).
