Orissa girl to lead India u-14 football team

All India Football Federation has named Orissa’s Karishma Oram as the Group-A captain of the Indian team for the AFC under-14 girls’ football championship to be held at Colombo, Sri Lanka from April 30 to May 5. Three more girls from the state have also been included in the 22-member National team, an official of Orissa Football Association`s Women`s Wing claimed. The three girls include Mamali Das, Subhaprava Rout and Kaushalya Barik. The AIFF is said to have appointed two captains for the National team. Uttarakhand’s Rakshya Pawar, the other caption, will lead the Group-B side. The AFC championship will be conducted in two formats, the official said.
