Leading player and organiser Subrat Das upset second seed Rakesh Roshan Pradhan by 4-1 frames to march into the final of the first CSA All-Orissa Open Snooker Tournament at Cue Sport Academy in Bhubaneswar today.
Despite sparing time and effort for the smooth conduct of the tournament, Subrat played with precision and passion to win the first semifinal 58-35, 52-63, 72-44, 66-34, 55-42.
‘‘It was not my day. I made too many mistakes,’’ admitted Pradhan after the match. Despite his convincing win, Das described match as a close affair.
‘‘Each and every frame was closely contested though frame score made the match look like an lop-sided affair,’’ he admitted.
‘‘Rakesh also did not play his natural aggressive game. He missed many easy balls as well,’’ Das pointed out.
