Riding on captain Shradhanjali Samantaray`s scintilating form, Orissa mauled Haryana 6-1 in the first quarterfinal league match of the 17th Senior National Women’s Football Championship at Neyveli, Tamil Nadu today.
Former India captain Sradhanjali again dazzled in the Orissa victory, scoring three goals in the 25th, 70th and 73rd minute.
Her teammate Indira Munda struck twice (54th and 62nd minutes) and Thunki Munda netted once in the lop-sided match.
Haryana pulled one back off a direct free kick in the first half. Orissa next meet strong contenders Goa on March 9.
