Ending all speculations, Eden Gardens will be hosting all seven home matches of Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League commencing from next April. Cricket Association of Bengal president Jagmohan Dalmiya said that he had been informed of the decision by Jay Mehta of the KKR this evening.
‘‘There was speculation that this year, two matches of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) may be shifted to Cuttack. We had informed KKR that a decision in this regard would have to be taken soon because the matches start from April 10 and the time at our disposal was rather short,’’ Dalmiya said in a press release.
