Puri District Chess Association (PDCA) is gearing up to host both the State and National Junior (under-17) Chess Championships next month.
The State meet will be held at Utkal Hindi Vidyapitha, Grand Road, from June 4 to 6. It will be followed by the National event at Rashtriya Sanskrit Sanstha (Deemed University), Sri Sadasiva Campus, from June 22 to 26.
Top three finishers (both boys and girls sections) of the State meet will be eligible to represent Orissa in the National championship.
