Sunrise Club, Cuttack and Peerless, Kolkata registered wins in the first two matches of the All-India Kalinga Cup Football Tournament today.
Salkhu Hembrum`s 15th minute goal gave Sunrise Club a 1-0 win over Kolkata Customs at Bhawanipatna, while Peerless edged past East Coast Railway 3-2, via tie-breaker at Jharsuguda.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by State Labour and Employment Minister Pradipta Kumar Naik at Bhawanipatna.
