Dalbir, Srimoy help BGC `A` lift team trophy

Host Bhubaneswar Golf Club (BGC) bagged both the champion and runners-up trophies in the team event of the 6th Nalco East Zone Golf Tournament, which concluded at the Infocity Course in Bhubaneswar today. BGC `A`, comprising Dalbir Singh, Srimoy Kar and J N Rath finished with a nett scores of 147. Dalbir carded 71, while Kar and Rath returned with 76 each. BGC experienced a double delight as its `B` team, consisting Ranjit Singh, Satyajyoti Mohanty and Riaz Khan finished runners-up with a nett score of 151. In the team competition, each team was represented by three of their best golfers and the best two scores were taken for calculating the nett score of the 18-hole stroke play event. Other entrants in the team competition included RCGC `A` and `B`, BGC-C, BGC-Ex, Paradip Golf Club, MCL Golf Club, Brahmani Golf Club and Mowbhandar. Dalbir also bagged best gross prize with a score of 84. The prizes for best nett score in the group A and B were claimed by Satyajyoti Mohanty (72) K G Kedia (RCGC, Kolkata, 74) respectively.
