Dipti Ranjan Sarangi (ITI Fitter), Nrusingha Prasad Mohapatra (B-Tech) among boys and T Rashmi Rani Patro (+2 Science), Sneha Brahma Punkar (MBA) among girls emerged champions in the KIIT University annual athletic meet, which concluded in Bhubaneswar today.
Students of School of Technology, School of Biotechnology, BBA, BCA, BDS, KSRM, LAW, MCA, MBA, M.Tech, MBBS, ITI, Diploma and +2 Science took part in the two-day meet, which feature competition in sprint, javelin, discus, shot put, high jump and skipping events.
Olympian Rachita Mistry (nee Panda) graced the closing function as chief guest and gave away the prizes. Speaking on the occasion, Rachita said sports needed to be integrated with education in order to produce quality sportspersons.
KIIT Chancellor Hari Gautam, Vice-Chancellor S K Dube, Pro-Chancellor P N Razdan, and Registrar L C Amarnathan were present on the occasion.
