Orissa kickboxers claim team title

Orissa lifted the team trophy after bagging a total of 85 medals in the 2nd Indian Open National Kickboxing Championship at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today. Medals included 20 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze. Delhi won 12 gold, 37 silver and 20 bronze medals to finish runners-up, while Maharashtra occupied the third position with a collection of nine gold, nine silver and 28 bronze medals. Mudasavi Saha (Assam Rifles) among men and Barkha Mohapatra (Orissa) among women were adjudged best kickboxers of the championship. Urban Development Minister K V Singhdeo gave away the trophy at the closing function.
