ROHIT FOOTBALL ACADEMY

• RFA represented Orissa in the qualifying round of the Under-12 Boys`` World Cup Football Festival held at New Delhi on July 11 and 12, 2008. RFA beat Tata Football Academy but lost to eventual champions Mohun Bagan to bow out of the race honourably.
• RFA has been providing non-residential coaching to school-level footballers at Peary Mohan Academy School ground, Cuttack since 2005.
• The academy runs on the contribution of veteran footballers, headed by founder and Amarendra Singh, who earlier served Orissa as the goalkeeper in the Santosh Trophy National Football Championship.
• RFA is said to have helped slum boys start a meaningful life through football.
• Seikh Mustaqin, a product of RFA, now plays for the Tata Football Academy (TFA), Jamshedpur.
• Trainees of RFA are getting entries in SAI and State Sports Hostels for the past two years.<
