* OSDPA was jointly formed by Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) and Mahanadi Coalfield Limited (MCL), under Section 25-A of the Company`s Act.
* ODPA is the owner of Kalinga Lancers, one of the six teams of the Hockey India League.
* Kalinga Lancers finished last in the 2nd Hockey India League, securing seven points from 10 matches. They lost seven, won two and drew one.
* In December, 2013 OSDPA came out with a Request of Proposal (RFP) for hiring a media & event management agency for promotion of IDCO-MCL Kalinga Lancers & managing the Hockey India League matches to be played at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar.
