PRAGATI SPORTINGS

*     In the year 1960 Pragati Sportings was unofficially formed by couple of young Odia people with the motto to provide free coaching and nurture budding talents in the State of Orissa.
*     One of the most famous of them all was Kishore Mania, whose perseverance and industrious attitude paid rich dividend.
*     In the year 1970, Pragati Sportings got a legal status as it was incorporated under the Society Registration Act, 1860.
*     Pragati Sportings clims that it is the first institution in the State of Odisha which was legally incorporated with the objective of promoting cricket in the State.
*     Overs the years Pragagi Sportings has the credit of producing one Test player, threejunior internationals, and around a dozen first class players.
*     In the year 2003, the State Government allotted the club permissive possession of a plot bearing Hal Plot No.393 (Pt) vide GA Department Order No LD-IV-42/01/2373 dated 19.02.2003. The said plot was utilised for cricket since the inception of the club.
*     The final mission of the club is to to built a mini cricket stadium with the support of the Government to encourage budding cricketers to achieve their goals.
