Local cueists Rakesh Roshan Pradhan retained his junior snooker title in the 14th Visa Steel State Billiards and Snooker Championship at Bhubaneswar Club here on Tuesday.
Bespectacled Rakesh beat State senior and junior billiards champion Kunal Agarwal 4-2 in the final.
Experienced Ahsan-ul Haque rode on a fine break of 87 to beat S P Patnaik 3-0 in a senior snooker pre-quarterfinal match of the day. Mihir Vora, Surit Singh, Rushav Jain and Siddharth Sen also registered wins to join Haque in the quarterfinals.
