State Sports Department has sanctioned a grant of Rs 10 lakh for distribution among 125 sportspersons this year as cash incentives. According to sources in the State Directorate of Sports, the beneficiaries include 21 internationals and 104 national-level achievers.
Ace woman hurdler Anuradha Biswal will be getting the highest amount of Rs 75,000, while the second highest amount of Rs 50,000 will be given woman powerlifter Ranu Mohanty.
The cash incentives will be distributed at a function to be held here in the near future.
