East Coast Railway defeated Directorate of Sports 2-0 in the final to lift title in the Gatikrushna Panda Memorial Bhubaneswar Football League at Unit-I High School ground in Bhubaneswar today.
Maheswar Das and Gyana Ranjan Samal scored the two goals in the 38th and 58th minutes. State Excise Minister Devi Prasad Mishra gave away the trophy at the closing function. Prakash Dila (Directorate of Sports) won the player of the league award, while Saburam Sandil, Laxman Murmu, A Dev (all EC Railway) and Ramu Murmu (Kishore Club) were adjudged as the best forward, best defender, best goalkeeper and best mid-fielder respectively.
