Governor hails KISS rugby team

The under-14 boys`` rugby team of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) was falicitated today by Orissa Governor Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare for winning an invitation series in Australia. In a function here at the Raj Bhawan, Bhandare described the achievement of the boys as a matter of pride for the state and the country. The 12-member all-tribal team returned home yesterday after winning the eight-match series 6-2. Assessing the performance, KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta ranked the 36-0 victory over Melbourne Grammar School as the best in the series. He annouced that the KISS team would undertake similar tours to Sri Lanka, New Zealand and South Africa in the near future. Coach Rudrakesh Jena praised the performance of Hadi Dhangada Majhi, who belongs to Bonda tribe, as the best player of the series.
