Twenty-two aspirants will vie for 14 posts in the Orissa Cricket Association (OCA) elections to be held at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on August 17.
The scrutiny committee finalised the list of candidates after withdrawal of nominations today.
Meanwhile, Satyabrata Behera (Rising Students Club), Bishnudev Mohanty (Biswabharati Cricket Club) and Nirban Ray (Juvenile Club) were elected uncontested as council members for Clas-II clubs.
The elections will be a contest between two rival groups led by incumbent secretary Asirbad Behera and outgoing treasurer Pradeep Chauhan. This time Chauhan is contesting for president``s post against incumbent Ranjib Biswal, also a National selector. The post of secretary will also witness a direct contest between Behera and Ananda Chandra Naik of Sundargarh. Behera group has fielded candidates for all the 17 posts, while Chauhan camp has confined its candidature to eight. Altogether 148 members of OCA are eligible to cast their votes on August 17.
