Buxi Basketball Association (BBA) defeated Bhubaneswar Basketball Club (BBC) 75-59 in the floodlit final to win the 7th Kurda District Basketball Tournament at the Unit-I Indoor Hall basketball court in Bhubaneswar today.
Prahallad Behera (21), Soumya Sasmal (20) and Uttam Panigrahi (15) did the bulk of scoring for the winners. BBC``s leading scorers included Soumya Rath (22), Gorachand Mohanty (16) and Surya Narayan Patnaik (11). Earlier in the semifinals, BBC outplayed 120 Infantry Battalion 59-30, while BBA thrashed Youngster Basketball Club 47-32.
