Karthikeyan to be nominated for Arjuna Award

Indian Formula One driver Narain Karthikeyan will be recommended for Arjuna Award, Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) said at Chennai today. FMSCI president Rajat Majumdar told reporters here that Narain deserves to be an Arjuna Awardee as he was the first Indian to put the country in the Formula One road map. "We are currently processing the formalities and will send the recommendation soon. No one from motorsports has won the award and Karthikeyan can be the first," he said of the former Jordan driver.
