Hyderabad cricketer Pragyan Ojha, who has been included in India``s Test squad for the Sri Lanka tour later this month, was accorded a series felicitation in his home state Orissa today.
It all started the moment the left-arm spinner landed at the airport here from Mumbai this morning. First, he was felicitated by Sahid Sporting, his first club, where he learnt the basics of the game for four years before his father sent him to Hyderabad to pursue studies.
Ojha then attended a function at his old school DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, where thousands of students greeted him. In the afternoon, the young spinner was felicitated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who presented a silver memento to the city youngster at the State Secretariat.
