Cricket in Orissa made news today for a different reason when Rajya Sabha member Pyari Mohan Mohapatra accepted an offer to contest for the president``s post of Orissa Cricket Association, the richest sports body of the state.
````I am thinking to contest for the post on the request of people who feel that nothing is happening for the betterment of the game in the state,```` media reports quoted Mohapatra, who is also a leading member of the ruling BJD think-tank, as saying. He, however, said the final decision about his candidature would be known after June 30.
