Rain spoils State u-19 cricket final

The final match of the Inter-District Under-19 Cricket Tournament, scheduled to be played between Cuttack ``A`` and Cuttack ``B`` at Cuttack today was postponed due to rain. The revised date of the match will be announced later, Orissa Cricket Association officials said. Earlier in the semifinals on Sunday, Cuttack ``B`` beat Bhubaneswar ``A`` by three wickets, while Cuttack ``A`` trounced Jharsuguda by nine wickets. Brief scores: At Sunshine ground: Bhubaneswar ``A`` 191/10 in 49.3 overs (Susojit Mohanty 34, Amitav Rout 31, Prasant Kodlikar 30: Manas Muduli 4/27, Sanujit Samal 2/38) lost to Cuttack ``B`` 192/7 in 47.5 overs (Seshdeep Patra 48 n.o, Manas Muduli 35 n.o, Sambit Mohanty 34: Suvendu Padhi 3/30, Niranjan Behera 2/46) by 3 wkts. At Ravenshaw ground-I: Jharsuguda 47/10 in 27.3 overs (Lagnajit Samal 4/14, Asmit Rout 2/9, Prakash Panda 2/9) lost to Cuttack ``A`` 48/1 in 12 overs (SC Mohanty 14 n.o) by 9 wkts.
