India crush Pak to retain T20 World Cup for Blind

Indian successfully retained title the 2nd Twenty20 World Cup for the Blind, drubbing arch-rivals Pakistan by nine wickets in a repeat final at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore today. India had beaten Pakistan in the final of the 2012 tournament, winning that match by 29 runs.

Chasing a stiff target of 198, India rode on an unbeaten knock of 99 by man of the match Prakash Jayaramaiah to clinch victory in 17.4 overs, losing one wicket in the process. Earlier batting first, Pakistan compiled 197 for nine in the stipulated 20 overs, thanks to half-century by Badar Munir, who bagged the man of the series award in the B2 category with 417 runs and eight wickets to his name.
