Aditya Samal of DPS, Rourkela emerged champion in the All-Odisha Open School Chess Tournament, which was organised by Odisha Secretariat Recreation Club at the club premises here on November 12 and 13. Aditya won all his games in the eight-round tournament.
Orissa State Chess Association vice-president Arati Bijoy Mohanty, Chess FIDE Master Soumya Ranjan Mishra gave away the prizes in the closing function. Odisha Secretariat Recreation Club general secretary Managovinda Dalai and chief arbiter Debasis Panigrahi were present on the occasion.
