Local favourite Avilash Mihra and Kolkata girl Yubrani Banerjee bagged doubles crowns in the AITA-OTA Championship Series Tennis Tournament, which was organised by Odisha Tennis Association here at Kalinga Stadium from March 28 to April 2. Around 150 youngsters from 15 states joined the tournament.
Avilash won both the singles and doubles titles in under-18 boys category, while Yubrani achieved similar success in under-18 girls section. In the singles final, Avilash beat his doubles partner Aditya Satpathy. In girls singles final, Yubrani prevailed over her doubles partner and local challenger Rutuparna Choudhury.
Fifth seed Asish Sinha of West Bengal claimed the under-14 boys singles crown, while the under-14 girls singles title was pocketed by top seed Bhakti Shah of Telangana. Jatin Batsya was the tournament referee.
