M Parthasarathi of Railway emerged champion in the main category of the district level golf tournament, which was organised by Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Metro at 120 Battalion Golf Course here from November 27 to 29.
State Home Secretary Asit Tripathy and Nawaz Yunus finished first and second runners-up respectively, while Ajay Negi captured the trophy for the best gross in 0-18 handicap category. Commandant Ajay Patnaik won the top honour in 19-24 category and Ramesh Ray won the veteran’s trophy. The mixed doubles title was secured by Sanjog Mishra and Jayashri Mishra.
Srimoy Kar was adjudged the best Rotarian golfer in 0-18 category, while the top honour in 19-24 category went to Tapan Mohanty. Sukant Sahoo and Schita Sahoo were winners in the joint Rotary category. Brig Harihar Tripathy emerged winner in veteran group.
More than 100 golfers participated in the tournament. Rotary District Governer Sibabrata Dash handed over the trophies at the closing function.
